In June, a Modern Machine Shop column discussed 5 machine tool technologies that can help shops improve effectiveness and efficiency. Among the technologies highlighted are high pressure coolant systems.
Columnist Derek Korn writes:
The systems offered by CNC Indexing & Feeding Technologies utilize a Hydra-Cell diaphragm pump for improved function and durability. These tools are an easy and effective way to increase productivity and reduce manufacturing costs in a machine shop thanks to the ability to increase feeds and speeds. Better surface finishes can be achieved with the use of a high pressure coolant system, improving the quality of your workpiece.
CNC Indexing offers two standard versions:
- The HP-300 high pressure coolant system is ideal for lathe applications, horizontal boring mill applications, and those with a limited budget. The system is preset at 300psi but can be adjusted between 75psi and 400psi.
- The HPD-1000 high pressure coolant system is commonly used on horizontal and vertical milling machines, as well as on lathes and in conjunction with other equipment. Our most popular system, it is adjustable between 75psi and 1000psi.
In addition to our two standard systems, CNC Indexing can produce systems to your specifications, including 2000psi, 2500psi and multiple preset pressures.
Other machine tool technologies discussed in the column include:
- Tool vending systems
- Tool presetters
- Machine tool probes
- Shopfloor CMMs
